I am delighted that he has chosen to return to us, said Tottenham´s chairman Daniel Levy.
After only half a season in Liverpool, the 28 year old Irish national team football player Robbie Keane has returned to Tottenham Hotspur, and will play alongside the Croatian national team players Luka Modric and Vedran Corluka there.
Keane transferred from Tottenham to Liverpool in July last year for 19 million pounds, and he collected 28 performances and seven goals in the reds’ jersey, but has recently lost the status of a first team player. Keane is the third Tottenham player to return to White Hart Lane during the winter period, and during his short stay in London he was sold by the former manager of the club, Juande Ramos. Before him, Jermaine Defoe returned from Portsmouth and Pascal Chimbonda returned from Sunderland.
“We are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement for the transfer of Robbie Keane back to the Club from Liverpool. Personal terms have been agreed and a medical completed” reports Tottenham’s website.
