Toro Rosso have yet to decide on their driver line up for the 2009 season.
A statement on Sato's website (www.takumasato.org) said the 31-year-old would test on Nov. 17-18 at the same Barcelona circuit where he made his last race appearance for the now-defunct Super Aguri team in April.
"Toro Rosso have yet to decide on their driver line up for the 2009 season. We would like to thank all the fans, as ever, for their fantastic support for Takuma and look forward to more good news soon," it added.
Toro Rosso need to find a replacement for Germany's Sebastian Vettel, their race winner in Italy who is moving to senior team Red Bull Racing, while France's Sebastien Bourdais remains uncertain about his future.
