Srna Equalizes Six Minutes Before End

Dario Srna scored an equalizer for the final 1-1 for his Sahtyor, and gave his team a chance against Nancy in France

The winter break has ended for Euro competitions as well. Whilst the largest of them, the Champions League, starts in six days, the Uefa cup served as a good introduction.

In a fairly even match, the French guests managed to take the lead in the 81^st minute with a goal from Fortune.

Only three minutes later Vorobey, passed a sharp ball into the penalty area from the right wing. Dario Srna was waiting for it in the 5 meter box who volleyed the ball into the goal of the helpless goalkeeper and equalized the score to the final 1-1, which gives the Ukrainians some hope for the return match on February 22. Stipe Pletikosa sat the whole game out on the bench.

Werder really plays in variable shape. After defeats in the last two rounds of the Bundesleague, from Schalke at home and in Stuttgart, Werder beat Ajax in Bremen 3-0. All of the goals were scored in the second half, and the guests played with a player less from the 23^rd minute.

For the final 3-0 win of the second ranked team in the Bundesleague against the second ranked team in the Dutch league, Torsten Frings scored in the 71^st minute assisted by Klose. Jurica Vranjes played the whole match for the Germans.
