The Croatian goalkeeper is definitely leaving Russia, the question is where will he be continuing his football future.
The main news in Milan is the arrival of David Beckham, but the Englishman is a more sounding name that reinforcement, at least if his form is something to go by lately. However, Croatia international would be an excellent reinforcement!
The Croatian goalkeeper proved himself as the best and most powerful link in Moscow-based Spartak, while he simply delights and thrills with his maturity and stability. Although his greatest desire is to move to the Island, he would surely be satisfied in Milan as well.
This news was announced by Calcio.mercato, which is always on the money and we might say this story surely has some good foundations. Milan has Abbiati, but they do not have a replacement for him. Of course, the question is if Stipe would be a sub, seeing how he has more quality than the current first Milan goalkeeper.
Spartak officials told Calcio.mercato that they have not received a concrete bid from Milan, but they know the Italians are interested in Pletikosa. Celtic and Fulham have already claimed their interest.
Therefore, Stipe is definitely leaving Russia, the only question is whether he will be building his future in England, Scotland or Italy. If the current infatuation of English clubs with Croatian footballers is something to go by, it is highly likely that Stipe will end up in the most powerful football league in the world.
