Striker King Charged With Attacking Woman In Bar

The unnamed, 20-year-old woman was treated for a broken nose and split lip after an incident at the Soho Revue Bar in early December.

Premier League footballer Marlon King has been charged with sexually assaulting and then attacking a young woman in a London bar, police said on Thursday.

The 28-year-old Wigan Athletic striker, who is on loan to Middlesbrough, was bailed to appear at City of Westminster magistrates court later this month.

The unnamed, 20-year-old woman was treated for a broken nose and split lip after an incident at the Soho Revue Bar in early December.

King, who plays for the Jamaican national team, was on loan to Hull City at the time.

The bar and nightclub, formerly the Raymond Revue Bar, closed on Jan. 29, according to the Soho Revue Bar's website.
