Swedish hockey player Mats Sundin played for the Vancouver Canucks during his last hockey season.
Legendary Swedish hockey player, Mats Sundin, is retiring from hockey after nearly 20 years with the American NHL.
38-year-old Swede, who told reporters that he made the decision only recently, played for the Vancouver Canucks during his last hockey season, but he spent most of his career with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Sundin was one of the key Swedish players during the 2006 Olympics in Turin, where Sweden defeated Finland in the final. He recently rejected the possibility of playing for Sweden in the next season’s winter Olympics.
