Tipsarevic only seed in Aegon semis
Tipsarevic, seeded third, defeated Grigor Dimitrov 6-3, 7-6 (7-2) by cashing in five of his six break-point chances.
Tipsarevic won just two fewer points (34-36) than Dimitrov off Dimitrov's serve and particularly took advantage of the second serve. He won two-thirds of the points in that situation. Dimitrov hurt himself with eight double faults.
His semifinal opponent Friday will be Kei Nishikori, who beat Radek Stepanek 6-2, 6-3 in his quarterfinal Thursday. Nishikori piled up five service breaks while winning 53 percent of the points when receiving serve.
The other semifinal pits Igor Kunitsyn against Andreas Seppi. Kunitsyn advanced by beating Julien Benneteau 6-3, 6-2 and didn't drop serve in the match. Seppi edged past Olivier Rochus 6-2, 6-7 (5-7), 6-3 also without losing his serve.
