VideoThe first time I was very surprised, I didn`t know what I did. The first goal was for me and my family, my wife, my daughter, Eduardo said.
Eduardo da Silva did something miraculous, in his return to the pitch, he showed that he was not mentally bridled by his injury. He assisted for a win in Bucharest, scored two goals for Arsenal and created a line of opportunities for his teammates.
I`m very happy today, I think this is the best day of my life, because now I know I can play again, like before – Eduardo da Silva told Arsenal TV after the match, with ended with Arsenal celebrating 4:0 against Cardiff.
When he scored twice, he celebrated in two different ways, but both showed his delight. He was surely beside himself because of the success he has achieved. A tear was seen in his eye.
- The first time I was very surprised, I didn`t know what I did. The first goal was for me and my family, my wife, my daughter – Dudu described his first comeback goal.
He scored the next one as he was given a penalty kick, dedicating it to his fitness coach Tony Colbert, a man who stuck by him during his recovery and while he was going through the worst crisis.
- Tony was like my second father, we would spend a lot of time, every day… This goal was special for him – Eduardo said.
I would like to say thank you for Arsenal`s support, because of them I can`t stop playing. They make me strong all the time. I received a lot of cards and from Croatia and this made me stronger to be back.

Eduardo`s mental strength has impressed the whole world. He sent 51 weeks recovering from a horrible injury and returned as if nothing had happened. However, he is as modest as he has always been, aware that he would not have made it without the support of his family, club, friends, as well as the fans.
- I would like to say thank you for Arsenal`s support, because of them I can`t stop playing. They make me strong all the time. I received a lot of cards and from Croatia and this made me stronger to be back – the Croatia international pointed out in the end, adding that it was his desire to help the Gunners win trophies.
