We Did Not Play Well, But We Won Three Points

Croatian coach Slaven Bilic was not altogether satisfied with the game shown in Estonia, but he is happy that we took three points.

After the game, Eduardo da Silva, the scorer of the only goal in the game Croatia won against Estonia, was exceptionally pleased with the score. 

- The most important thing is that we won. I congratulate all my teammates, the crew of experts, and the supporters. Now, we are moving on. Now, we can think about Russia. Fatigue? You can see fatigue on some players, but we are not tired. We gave our maximum on the field.   

Coach Slaven Bilic was not altogether satisfied with his players’ performance at Le Coq arena. 

- Absolutely hard, it was particularly hard at the end. When the opponent comes into the last minutes with a minimum disadvantage, then they play all their cards on the offensive. Pletikosa saved two likely ones in the end, but the important thing is that we won. The three points are the most important, but I am aware of the fact that it was not good. Estonians were very aggressive and we did not respond to it well. We were indecisive in some moments and they tried to take advantage of that. 

Coach Bilic now has four days ahead of him to regenerate the team for the duel against Russia.  

- Things are as they are, I must forget this game. Russians await us in a few days and that will be an entirely different game. I am sure that we will play much better and be ready for the duel. On the wings of our supporters, I think we can get to victory.
