PIACENZA, Italy, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Police in Piacenza, Italy, said 13 rugby players were among 35 people arrested in connection with an alleged ring that sold drugs at concerts and rugby matches.

An operation dubbed "Flanker" -- after a rugby player who police in the northern Italian city said was a leading figure in the alleged ring -- led to the arrests, Italy's ANSA news agency reported.

The ring was involved in selling mainly cocaine, police said.

Those arrested also included a female body-building champion.

The rugby players are on teams in Italy's second, third and fourth tiers, ANSA said.
