Mujahideen Ali Hamad is seeking asylum in Serbia and he admitted to taking part in crimes against Serbs and Croats.
Ali Hamad, a member of the terrorist organisation Al-Qaeda, last week sought asylum in Serbia after spending 12 years in prison in Bosnia, Press Online reported.
He admitted that during the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina he had taken part in crimes of the “El Mujahideen” group against Croats and Serbs.
The Serbian War Crimes Prosecution suggested to the government to allow Ali Hamad to enter Serbia and testify about the crimes.
- Most people were killed by an Egyptian, Abu Mina, who was in charge of security and special tasks in the group. Mina killed people with a chain saw and large knife. He killed imprisoned Serbs in Zavidovici.
In front of the Mujahideen members he cot people’s heads off with an axe and a large knife. He ordered us to impale the prisoners on stakes and let them die in worst torment – Ali Hamid said.
Hamid also said that Mina killed a 14-year-old boy and forced the boy’s father to watch his son die.
Also, Mina and the other members of the group imprisoned Catholic friars and killed two BBC reporters.
War crime prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic said Ali Hamad could be a very useful witness.
