Linda Wolfe, 68, is the world’s record holder with 23 marriages, the longest being seven years and the shortest lasting for 36 hours.
A 68-year-old American woman from Indiana has officially become the world’s record holder for the number of times she has been married – she got married 23 times, which got her entered in the Guinness Book of Records, the Indianapolis Star daily reported.
Addicted to love
Linda Wolfe married for the first time at the age of 16, after which she became “addicted to love”. Her longest marriage lasted for seven years and her shortest for 36 hours.
Her husbands included a convict, a pastor, several plumbers and musicians. Two turned out to be homosexuals and two cheated on her, so she left them.
Wolfe admits she does not remember the names of all her husbands, nor could she put them in chronological order, but currently she is looking for husband number 24.
Her last marriage to Glynn Wolf was a marketing move, since, with 29 times married, he was the world’s record holder too. Linda has seven children from her marriages.
