German media and fashion experts saluted the surprising fashion audacity of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, due to the open dress she wore at the inauguration of the National Opera in Oslo. 

The German leading politician has always been known as a great lover of opera, and in company of the Norwegian monarch, she appeared at the inauguration of the National Opera in Oslo wearing a very elegant black evening dress along with a blue dress with a wide décolleté.

- Chancellor Merkel showed her décolleté, which is a big surprise as she has never appeared anywhere in public with such a deep décolleté – German Bild reports.

When she took power in autumn 2005, Merkel was seen as a politician who is not bothered by issues of elegance and who dresses with no imagination and with no femininity. With time, Angela Merkel dragged more attention with her hairstyle and clothes, although she would pick suits with trousers rather than with a skirt.
