Aeroplane which was on a flight from Munich to Atlanta had to land early in North Carolina because a passenger went into labor.
Luckily for her, two doctors were aboard the plane and delivered the baby.
Delta Air Lines aeroplane was above the area of Washington when the German passenger went into labor. After nine hours of flight, the pilot decided to urgently land the plane with 192 passengers in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Luckily, among the passengers were two doctors, one of whom was a paediatrician.
With the help of a stethoscope and medical equipment from the aeroplane, the doctors determined that the baby`s heart was beating poorly and as soon as they delivered the woman, they began with the resuscitation of her just born little son who was not breathing. Their efforts soon resulted and the little fellow started breathing.
-To deliver a baby in the plane isle is not simple. I did not think the child would make it- said Robert Vincent, one of the “flying doctors”.
