Bieber mix-up leads to number change

ALBANY, N.Y., Feb. 9 (UPI) -- A New York state family said they had to change their phone number after a blog dedicated to Justin Bieber claimed their digits belonged to the pop star.

Eric McGriff, 17, said a Bieber blog posted his home phone number to its Web site last week claiming the number belonged to the teenage singer, leading his family to change their number after receiving a flood of phone calls from fans, TMZ.com reported Tuesday.

"Maybe it would be cooler if it happened and we got confused with someone whose music we liked. But we don't like Justin Bieber in my household, so getting calls from his fans isn't the greatest thing in the world," McGriff said.
