BiH: Police arrested over suspected murder of Serb returnee

Six active and former policemen from Bosnia and Herzegovina, suspected of participating in the murder of a Serb returnee to that town committed sixteen years ago, were arrested on Tuesday in the Bihac area.

Police chief in the Bosnian Federation entity Dragan Lukac said that the arrests came in the wake of a several-year long investigation.

"There is founded suspicion that the people arrested committed, ordered or participated in the crime", Lukac told reporters in Bihac.

Canton interior minister Sefik Smlatic immediately suspended the active officers and announced that relevant measures would be conducted in line with the investigation.
