A child was killed and three people injured when a military device they took from a trash bin exploded on Saturday in southeastern Turkey, security forces said.
A group of four people, including three children, picked up the device in the centre of the city of Sirnak. The region has suffered sporadic violence since 1984 when Kurdish rebels began an armed uprising for an ethnic homeland.
Ankara blames the Kurdistan Workers' Party for 30,000 deaths in the region.
