SARAJEVO, Sept 20 (Hina) - Representatives of the Bosnian Defence Ministry and the General Staff on Thursday refuted some media claims that a contingent of troops from Balkan countries in Afghanistan was evacuated under dramatic circumstances in an operation on Tuesday.
Deputy Chief of Staff Brigadier Ivica Jerkic told Bosnian TV that this week's helicopter transport of military instructors from Balkan countries in Afghanistan was carried out in the same circumstances as before and that there was no emergency.
Jerkic said the activities of the 50 Bosnian troops in Afghanistan were proceeding as planned.
Deputy Defence Minister Marina Pendes said a decision would be made in the time ahead on whether Bosnian troops would continue to be engaged in NATO's mission in Afghanistan.
The decision is expected to be made in October.
