The Bosnian parliament lower house confirmed the appointment of nine ministers and seven vice ministers at the Bosnian Council of Ministers.

The Bosnia-Herzegovina Parliamentary Assembly’s House of Representatives has confirmed deputy minister of communications and transport, as well as civil affairs, and deputy defence minister in charge of policy and planning that will be subsequently appointed. 

The appointment and confirmation of Selmo Cikotic as defence minister will come into effect on April 22, as soon as legal conditions are met, since Cikotic was in the military.

Thirty-one MPs voted for the confirmation of the members of the Council of Ministers, nine voted against and one abstained.

-- I am happy that a cabinet with a wider parliamentary majority than the one signed by political party leaders was confirmed today – said the president of the Council of Ministers, Nikola Spiric, Sarajevo-x.com reports.
