Italian airport police arrested a Brazilian man on Wednesday for drug smuggling when he collapsed with overdose symptoms after some of the 150 packets of cocaine in his stomach burst open.

The 30-year-old man was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment upon arrival at Rome's Fiumicino airport on a flight from Sao Paolo. Police said the 2 kilos (4.4 lb) of pure cocaine in his stomach had an estimated street value of 2 million euros ($2.75 million).
