`This is one of the largest ever seizures of heroin by police in the UK,` said detective chief inspector Peter Beyer.
The specialist crime central task force seized 350 kg (770 lb) of heroin from two cars at a motorway service station in Kent, southeast England, on Thursday. Two men living in London, Harminder Chana and Atif Khan, and Dutchman Patrick Kuster have been charged with conspiracy to supply heroin, police said.
Chana and Kuster were arrested in the motorway service station, while Khan was arrested in Ilford in east London.
"This is one of the largest ever seizures of heroin by police in the UK," said detective chief inspector Peter Beyer. "We've severely disrupted a highly organised criminal network engaged in the widescale importation and distribution of class A drugs.
