Fidel, who walked the streets of his city late at night, kissing and hugging people wearing his uniform, will never come back, Chavez said.
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said on Sunday that Cuban leader Fidel Castro will most probably not appear in public again, international agencies reported.
But he did not explain the reason for him saying this, nor did he reveal the health condition of the Cuban leader.
- Fidel, who walked the streets of his city late at night, kissing and hugging people wearing his uniform, will never come back. It will only remain in memory – Chavez said.
Chavez and the 82-year-old Castro met regularly, but in private. The last time the Cuban leader appeared in public was in July 2006. After that, his photographs from the hospital were publicised on several occasions and the only communication from him is done by letters.
