The European Council will endorse the decision to be adopted by General Affairs Council on 26 June, to open accession negotiations with Montenegro, said the guidelines for ambassadors negotiating the final agreement for the June 29-29 meeting in Brussels.
The European Council, comprised of heads of state or government of EU members, will convene in Brussels on 28 and 29 June, and two days earlier (26 June) the General Affairs Council meets in Luxembourg.
Montenegro was granted candidate status in December 2010. (Hina)
