The Zenica cantonal prosecutor's office has indicted Jasmin Sehagic, former warden of an Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina-run POW camp in the Kakanj area, for war crimes against detained Croat civilians, the BiRN information service covering war crimes trials in Bosnia and Herzegovina said on Monday.

Sehagic is accused of the brutal torture of a number of Croat prisoners from June 1992 to September 1993 and of failing to prevent or report to superiors those who took part in the crimes.

The Zenica cantonal court upheld the indictment.
