FITCHBURG, Mass., Feb. 1 (UPI) -- The FBI apologized to a Massachusetts woman after agents mistakenly broke down her door and ordered her to stay on the floor.

Judy Sanchez said the FBI agents busted down her Fitchburg door and forced her to remain on the floor for about 45 minutes while her 3-year-old daughter cried in the next room, the Boston Herald reported Wednesday,

FBI spokesman Greg Comcowich said the agents soon realized they had gone into the wrong apartment.

"The mistake was quickly apparent to the FBI agents who entered the apartment," Comcowich said. "The assistant special agent in charge spoke with the resident to reassure and calm the resident and repeatedly apologized for the mistake."

"The bottom line is, we made a mistake and we apologized," he said.

The spokesman said the agents later raided the correct address and arrested Luis R. Vasquez on charges including conspiracy to distribute cocaine base.
