FBI and US police broke a child prostitution chain in a joint effort, resulting in 570 arrests.
An operation conducted by American authorities saved some 50 children from the fate of prostitution, while over 570 suspects for child trafficking and pimping were arrested. The joint effort of the American police and the FBI, called “Cross Country III”, was conducted in 29 cities, the BBC writes.
The main suspect and the primary target was a 16-year-old girl, suspected of recruiting children and dealing with prostitution.
According to police claims, the 16-year-old started her activities at the age of 13, while she recruited children between 13 and 17.
The FBI points out that the operation is not over yet and they would not stop until all persons responsible for child prostitution in America are caught and the vicious circle of violence and abuse is ended.
