Finger found at robbery scene

ALBUQUERQUE, March 6 (UPI) -- Police in Albuquerque said they discovered a severed piece of finger at the scene of a smoke shop robbery.

Investigators said a man attempted to rob the smoke shop at 4th Street and Montano Saturday night and he fled after exchanging gunfire with the victim, KRQE-TV, Albuquerque, reported Tuesday.

Police said they believe one of the men must have shot his own finger.

Officers were unable to track down the suspect Saturday night.
