TEL AVIV, Israel, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Foreign diplomats stationed in Israel are preparing contingency plans in case Israel is hit with a missile attack, a Yedioth Ahronoth report said.

The Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth said foreign embassies in Israel are worried that Israel will strike Iran, triggering a retaliatory missile attack. Diplomats are concerned that thousands of Israeli citizens with foreign passports would seek to be evacuated.

Senior officials told the newspaper several foreign diplomatic missions have requested gas masks, Ynetnews.com reported.

The Foreign Ministry has provided the foreign embassies with a list of public bomb shelters and an instructional pamphlet produced by the Israeli military, Ynetnews.com said.
