Four Remanded On Terrorism Charges

Three are charged with `engaging in conduct with the intention of assisting in the commission of acts of terrorism`.

Four men were remanded in custody on Tuesday, charged with terrorism offences involving the supply of equipment to overseas fighters.

Three are charged with "engaging in conduct with the intention of assisting in the commission of acts of terrorism".

Shahid Ali, Mohammed Nadim and Shabir Mohammed did not enter a plea during the hearing at City of Westminster Magistrates Court in central London.

They will next appear at the Old Bailey on Nov. 7 for a preliminary hearing, the Press Association said.

A fourth man, Abdul Raheem, was charged with "failing to disclose information which may have assisted in preventing acts of terrorism, namely the supply of equipment to assist terrorists fighting abroad".

He was remanded in custody to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates Court on Nov. 21.

The four men were arrested during a series of dawn raids in Birmingham last Tuesday. A fifth man arrested at the same time was released without charge.
