The Serbian government is insisting that Mladic be tried in the Hague so the international war crimes story can get its epilogue.
Serbian intelligence services are negotiating with fugitive Ratko Mladic about him surrendering to the UN’s war crimes tribunal in the Hague, a well informed government source said, according to the Serbian Glas Srpske daily.
- The authorities are insisting that Mladic turns himself to the Hague without causing any trouble. Serbia is resolute to conclude the Hague story – the anonymous source said.
Mladic’s relative and friends claims he will never surrender as long as he is alive.
How much truth there is in the claims of the “well-informed government source” will be known by late August since that is the deadline the government wants to see Mladic before the court.
