Cheryl Crisp had a stroke due to a blood clot and fell into a coma. When she woke up, she gave birth to a baby boy.
Cheryl Crisp, 35, from Great Britain, had a stroke and died on the operating table. The doctors managed to resuscitate her and after eight days of being in a coma, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy.
While she went shopping with her boyfriend, she suddenly collapsed and her boyfriend realised that her heart had stopped beating. He managed to take her quickly to a hospital in southern London and after successfully resuscitating her, the doctors brought her back to life.
The surgeons established that a cloth had formed in her blood vessel and they sent her for urgent surgery during which her heart had stopped beating several times.
Medication would have hurt the baby
The doctors could not give her the medication that is usual in such cases because they could harm her unborn baby.
Despite it all, they both survived. They had incredible luck, the surgeons said, according to The Sun.
After the surgery, Cheryl fell into a coma and she only regained consciousness after sex days. Two days later, she felt pain in her abdomen and she gave birth to baby Albie.
Although the boy is 11 days old, he is still in hospital for respiratory difficulties and the fact that he was born three months prematurely.
I’m okay now. I’m thrilled that Albie is recovering so well and I can hardly wait for him to come home, Cheryl said.
