One of the priorities of the new Serbian government’s foreign policy will be boosting good neighbourly relations, said the foreign minister.
One of the priorities of the new Serbian government’s foreign policy will be strengthening good neighbourly relations, said Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic who arrived in Sarajevo on Sunday evening.
Jeremic’s trip to Bosnia-Herzegovina, where he will hold talks with his Bosnian counterpart, Sven Alkalej, is his first official visit to a country after assuming office as foreign minister in Serbia.
In an interview published by the Dnevni avaz daily on Monday, he said Belgrade was ready to immediately step up to the solving of open issues with Bosnia, including the signing of the border agreement.
“I believe that this will be completed in the shortest term possible. This includes the tracking and arresting of all fugitives, including Ratko Mladic”, Jeremic said.
Commenting on the issue of Kosovo, the Serbian foreign minister reiterated that there was a unanimous stance of all government bodies in his country. “The independence of Kosovo is unacceptable for the Republic of Serbia, in any form”, Jeremic said.
After official talks in Sarajevo, he is to travel to Banja Luka where he will hold talks with the Republika Srpska Prime Minister, Milorad Dodik.
