Hamdan: Israelis Are Blood-Thirsty Killers

Osama Hamdan, high Hamas official, says why Israeli is blocking foreign reporters, exclusively for Javno website.

Although the objective of the Israeli military operation, which has been taking place in the Gaza Strip for over 12 days, was to prevent Hamas from shelling the South of Israel, it seems it has not yielded desired results.

Despite the fact that the Israelis` gory campaign in Gaza has taken 550 victims already and more than 2,500 injured persons, mostly civilians, militant group Hamas and other Palestinian fractions still shell the South of Israel every day with long-range missiles, which fall deeper and deeper in Israeli territory day by day.

Opposing parties do not wish to fold

According to the Gaza led scrip so far, where none of the opposing parties want to fold, even many military analysts were left without prognosis for one of the bloodiest wars lately. Both parties point that the situation is utterly unpredictable: Israel demands Hamas stops shelling the South of Israel, while Hamas wants Israel to momentarily end its military operations in Gaza, withdrawal of Israeli troops, complete deblockade of the Gaza Strip and all border crossings with Gaza to be opened.

Seeing how both parties hold mutual requests unacceptable, the war in the Gaza Strip, it seems, will take more lives than today, which was confirmed by Osama Hadan, high Hamas official in an exclusive interview for Javno, saying Hamas will never agree to Israeli terms, and that Gaza will become the cemetery of Israelis.

Hamdan: Israelis are cowardly people

- The Israelis threw everything short of an atom bomb on Gaza, but they have still not achieved their goal, because our fighters maintain to shell the South of Israel. They cowardly strike us from the air, from the land and sea, but do not dare to come closer to our cities, because they know 20,000 prepared fighters will be waiting for them there. What is now clear is that the Israelis have completely lost their compass. Namely, before the start of the aggression on Gaza, Israeli politicians said their goal was to destroy Hamas and its rule. Five days later, they said the don`t want to destroy Hamas, only prevent it from shelling the South of Israel, but now, they say the most important thing is to prevent Hamas from attaining armament – Hamdan said.

- People who killed God`s prophets throughout history, Jesus Christ even, and are today killing children, women and old men, destroying mosques, hospitals and schools, under the excuse that Hamas is hiding weapons and soldiers there, are a cowardly nation. They are not only blood-thirsty killers, who will have to realise, sooner or later, that their and our problem is occupation of our territory, from which they have to leave and which we will never give up on. Not even all of their planes, or the navy will frighten us, because we know what we are fighting for. If they think they will destroy Hamas as a Palestinian resistance movement, they are wrong. The fact that one part of Palestinians and some Arab countries have folded before this military force and signed a peace treaty, they will never sway us. They will always be the occupation for us and we will never acknowledge the Israeli state, let alone negotiate with it – Hamdan said, explaining why he believes Hamas will win against powerful Israel.

Fake rhetoric of Israel

Hamdan also looked back on the Israeli media blockade of the war in Gaza.

- Everyone knows why foreign reporters are not allowed to witness the mindless blood-shed of innocent people in Gaza. They are afraid of the truth, the world`s condemnation, even of their own people! They say we hide soldiers and weapons in mosques and hospitals, while reporters who found us there clearly saw there were no weapons, or soldiers. The Israelis tell the whole world that they have only one dead soldier, but we know they have over 20. This is their fake rhetoric with which they lie to their people and the entire world. Nobody can see their destroyed planes, tanks, dead soldiers and defeats. Unlike them, we take pride in our martyrs and admit to every death. But, this is the way the Israelis are… - Hamdan said.

In the end, we asked his to deny or confirm the information about the departure of the Hamas delegation to peace negotiations in Egypt, which refused even thinking about it recently.

- It is true that our delegation has headed for Egypt, to the summoning of our brothers Egyptians, where they are to meet Egyptian officials with the intention of trying to find a solution for cease-fire. We will talk and find a way for cease-fire, but under the condition that Israel momentarily ends its aggression, withdraws its troops, deblocks Gaza and the border crossing Rafak with Egypt.
