Bill Clinton has entered the campaign of his wife in Iowa, and for the first time gave his full support for her candidature.
On Monday, the former American president Bill Clinton, for the first time was included in the presidential campaign of his wife. He praised her abilities, and announced that he will do everything to help her reach the White House.
“I would be here tonight, even if we were not married”, said Bill in front of 3,000 people in Des Moines, Iowa. That state will be the first to have parliamentary primaries next year.
“She is a much more qualified candidate than all the ones I have voted for so far in my life”, said Bill, who until his appearance in Iowa, restricted his presence to advice behind the scenes, and participating at closed events for gathering donations.
Hillary Clinton’s campaign received a blow this weekend with the release of the results that the second most popular Democrat candidate, Barack Obama, collected more donations.
It is interesting that according to the popularity polls in Iowa, the most popular Democrat candidate is John Edwards, who is only in third place nation-wide.
Bill Clinton, whose popularity is still very high in the USA, is one of the strongest attributes in Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, and his appearance in the same will be carefully planned. The Republican party in Iowa released a statement which says that Bill’s arrival to Iowa is a sign that “Hillary is officially desperate”.
