The Hague prosecutors did not object to the release of two Republika Srpska officers charged with crimes against Muslims in Srebrenica.
The trial chamber of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) approved the temporary release of retired Republika Srpska army officers Radivoj Miletic and Milan Gver between July 21 and August 13, reported ICTY on Friday.
On June 26, indictees Miletic and Gvero submitted a joint request for release during the Tribunal's summer break and the prosecution did not object, states the report released on the ICTY website.
Miletic and Gvero are charged with crimes against Bosnian Muslims in Srebrenica and Zepa in the summer of 1995.
Their trial started on July 14, 2006, and will resume after the summer break, on August 20, reports ICTY.
