The Iranian Embassy in Croatia issued a statement commenting on the latest report made by IAEA head, El Baradei.
The latest IAEA report once again confirmed the transparency of the Iranian nuclear programme, after which the Iranian Embassy in Zagreb sent us a press release whose contents we are relaying in full.
The statement of the Iranian Embassy in Zagreb on the latest report of Mr. El Baradei
The report of the director of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which clearly states the implementation of the modalities and so issues a solution to all remaining issues, is a document that shows the unfoundedness and maliciousness of accusations by certain countries.
This report is the clearest document to date with which the Agency without any reserves confirms the peaceful intentions of past and current nuclear activities by the Islamic Republic of Iran. The report of the Agency’s director (with radical changes) notifies the international community that all remaining issues have been solved and confirms that all accusations by certain forces against Iran’s peaceful nuclear programme are unfounded and unacceptable and that initiating proceedings before the Security Council about the issue is legally unfounded.
As has been confirmed in the Agency’s director’s report, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been a frank and serious partner to the Agency who actively cooperated, even more than was required for the implementation of the work modality.
The report of the Agency’s director shows that such voluntary cooperation by Iran, which was far greater than required, led to a speedy solution to all open issues, even prior to the expected deadline.
The Agency’s report fully annulled the foundation of false accusations of certain superpowers about the dangers and concern over the nuclear programme of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Certain malicious countries, insisting on such an unfounded ‘concern’, tried to deny the Iranian people the right to use nuclear energy, but their efforts have failed. All of their false accusations have been annulled by the Agency’s report.
The said report proves that Iran was and will remain a transparent, responsible and clear member of the Non-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction accord (NPT) and is completely dependable in its obligations towards the peaceful intentions of its nuclear programme.
The implementation of modalities and the final solution, with the closing of the remaining open issues, refuted all accusations, based on which the document on Iran’s nuclear activities was sent to the Security Council, and showed that the measures of the Security Council against Iran were unjustified, unjust and illegal.
This report also shows that the people of Iran are consistent in observing their international obligations, but also in exercising their rights.
Accordingly, by solving the remaining open issues on the one hand and fulfilling all activities so far, such as enriching uranium under complete and constant supervision of the Agency on the basis of the rules of the Agency and NPT and existing protection agreements on the other hand, Iran has responded to all concerns and unfounded accusations about its former and current peaceful intentions of its activities, completely transparently and clearly.
Accordingly, the said report states that Iran’s peaceful nuclear programme should be considered regular (common) activity and as has been envisaged by the work plan, further activities in Iran should be normalised and these issues should be a regular topic on the Agency’s agenda.
