We still cannot arrest them because we have to support the intelligence information with evidence, say at SIPA.
State Investigation and Protection Agency of Bosnia-Herzegovina (SIPA) has information on the help network of the Hague fugitives Stojan Zupljanin, Zdravko Tolimir, Ratko Mladic and Rodovan Karadzic, said Sefik Halilovic, War Crimes Investigation Centre chief with SIPA, the Nezavisne novine daily writes.
-We posses reliable intelligence information on the people who are helping and financing the hiding of the four Hague fugitives. We still cannot arrest them because, although it is reliable, the intelligence information must be supported with evidence. Gathering of the evidence is underway, after which the Ministry of Security will be able too freeze the property and resources of these individuals, while the security agencies will be able to arrest them- said Halilovic.
Deputy director of SIPA Sead Lisak pointed out that this agency was the leading one in the Work group for tracing those charged with war crimes, which is consisted of the police, security, and intelligence agencies.
-Agencies which are a part of this work group gathered many information about the possible locations where the war crimes defendants on the run might be hiding. After an examination and analysis of the information, we did not succeed in locating any fugitives, which could mean they are not hiding on the BH territory.
