Jenna Bush, the daughter of former American president George, became NBC’s new star. According to omg!, NBC has hired someone with comprehensive White House experience when they hired former first daughter.

Jenna who currently works a teacher in Baltimore, will contribute stories about once a month on issues like education to television's top-rated morning news show.

The daughter of former President George W. Bush, who already authored two books, said she never dreamt of TV career but that she believes that one of the most important things in life is to stay open-minded for change.

However, in spite of her new work she will not give up teaching in school where she will continue to work as a reading coordinator. Jim Bell, NBC producer, said that choosing Jenna seemed like a logical move and sees nothing unusual about her decision.

‘Jenna’s job is not a deposit for ensuring Bush interviews’

- Bell said that he got the idea of hiring Jenna after seeing her in two "Today" appearances. She was on the program two years ago to promote her book about an HIV-infected single mothers, and she was so fantastic that a short interview was stretched to nearly a half hour. She and her mother, Laura Bush, also co-hosted an hour of "Today"  and her natural presence simply stood out  – Bell said.

Jenna Bush will do her job from NBC’s studio in Washington and Bell believes that she will do remarkable work.

I think she knows something about pressure. When she came here for a handful of appearances, she astounded everyone and we expect her first story next month – Bell said. He also said that Hager won't be covering politics since he didn't consider the job as a down payment for a future interview with her father, who has been living quietly in Texas since leaving office earlier this year. Accusations on NBC News by conservatives for the liberal curve of MSNBC also had nothing to do with it, he claims.
