Komsic Wants Probe into Stojanov Leaving Bosnia

Text

Komsic requested that the BH prosecutor’s office establish whether crimes were committed in the case of professor Stojanov.

Zeljko Komsic, the Croat member of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina requested of the Sarajevo Canton and Bosnia-Herzegovina prosecutor offices to investigate whether crimes had been committed with regards to the case of Dragoljub Stojanov fleeing the country.

‘In light of numerous reactions in the media regarding statements which professor Stojanov issued to the public regarding the alleged unlawful acts against him, Zeljko Komsic, member of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina, sent a memo to the Sarajevo Canton and BH prosecutor’s offices. Zeljko Komsic demands from these state institutions to, in line with their jurisdictions, investigate possible criminal actions and their perpetrators against professor Dragoljub Stojanov’, a press release said.

The dean has ruined my work

Prof. Stojanov gave an interview to the ‘Nezavisne novine’ daily in Banja Luka, in which he stated that the story had started a few years ago when he was a rival to the present dean at the Faculty of Economy in Sarajevo.

‘When he was elected as dean, he began to relieve me of tasks, one by one, ruining everything I had done. I have to emphasise that these were not tasks contrary to faculty rules. Simply, he wanted to destroy me. I am talking about the dean and some of his people who stand by him and protect him. This is more than obvious because I did all my work with the permission and approval of the former faculty board of directors,’ said Stojanov. He was an employee of the Faculty of Economy at Sarajevo, as well as in Rijeka (Croatia) and Banja Luka (Bosnian Serb entity).

I was harassed for two years

He left Sarajevo, as he told ‘Nezavisne novine’, because of the dean and a group of people from the Faculty who had harassed him constantly for the last two years.

‘I must not exclude the possibility that this was because of my nationality.’

Srdan Dizarevic, the president of Helsinki Committee of Bosnia-Herzegovina, said that Muslim parties and the Islamic community were to blame for professor Stojanov leaving Bosnia-Herzegovina.

‘The Helsinki Committee is aware of my problem. The dean cut my salary because I had left his lecture at Bjelasnica. I didn’t want to attend his seminar on strategic planning so I went home. He cut my salary without any legal remedy. That is a criminal act. The dean protects other people who are involved in such acts, but punished me without any reason. So, I cannot generalise, but it is obvious that I stood on the way of some political structures in Sarajevo”, Stojanov said.
