A boy with an odd name, Adolf Hitler, nearly celebrated his birthday without a cake, because the pastry shop refused to spell his name.
A New Jersey boy, who just turned 3, was named Adolf Hitler Campbell by his parents. Seeing how his birthday was coming up, the parents wanted to order a cake with his name on it, but the local pastry shop refused to bake it. Parents Heath and Deborah were astonished by such a reaction.
- They're just names, you know. Yeah, they (the Nazis) were bad people back then. But my kids are little. They're not going to grow up like that – Heath said.
In the end, the cake arrived hust in time for the party. Other Campbell children also have odd names: JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell (2) and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell (1).
The parents say they called their son Adolf Hitler because they liked the name and were sure that nobody in the world would have it.
