`When my son and the rest of the world's children inherit the Earth, I want them to have something they can hold on to, not something that is falling apart, on the brink`, rapper Xzibit told journalists after his performance in Japan.
Pop stars in Tokyo and Sydney kicked off a global chain of climate change concerts on Saturday called Live Earth, aimed at persuading the world to go green. Following the Live Aid and Live 8 mega-gigs, Live Earth hopes to reach up to two billion people through radio, television and the Internet, featuring acts like Madonna, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Crowded House, Beastie Boys, Shakira and Rihanna at nine concerts.
