A magnitude 5.9 quake struck off Indonesia's Tanimbar Islands, the U.S. Geological Survey reported on Wednesday.

It said the shallow quake, only 6.2 miles (10 km) deep, was centered 186 miles (300 km) west of Saumlaki, in between the Tanimbar Islands and East Timor.
