NORTH HUNTINGDON, Pa., Jan. 1 (UPI) -- A Pennsylvania man proposed to his girlfriend with an elaborate Christmas light show ending with the words spelled out on his parents' roof.

Tim Harff, 24, said he created a computer choreographed light show to Edwin McCain's "I'll be," the couple's special song, and took girlfriend Missy Heck, 22, up in the bucket of a 100-foot ladder truck Thursday to see the show, which concluded with the words "Will you marry me" spelled out in lights, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported Friday.

Harff, whose proposal was immediately accepted, said it took him "about 10 to 12 hours" to create the computer program using about 3,000 lights.

"I wanted to do something different," Harff said.
