Montenegro And The EU Initial SSP

The agreement of stabilization and integration (SSP) between Montenegro and the European Union has been initialized.

Oli Rehn announced to the Montenegrin press that this agreement will secure a stable frame appropriate for further economic, political and institutional development in Montenegro.

Rehn said that the SSP is a first step towards the status of a candidate, under the condition that the agreement is correctly implemented.

- In this equation a healthy and reliable administrative capacity is important. This is why the EU stresses the importance of Montenegro improving its legal, political and administrative capacity – said Rehn.
