The Met Office is predicting that storms will arrive in southern England and Wales on Monday afternoon before spreading across the country overnight.

The continuing bad weather comes after the coldest snap for 20 years caused chaos last week, closing schools and bringing widespread transport disruption.
The Local Government Association says council reserves of grit have been "massively depleted" but that local authorities are working with the Highways Agency to ensure supplies do not run out completely.
