The apartment of retired Republika Srpska army lieutenant colonel Petar Jesic was searched because of reports that he was hiding information
NATO members, in cooperation with the Hague Tribunal, searched the apartment of the retired lieutenant colonel Petar Jesic, who was in the army of the Bosnian-Serb entity of Republika Srpska. His apartment is located in Rogatica, Bosnia and Herzegovina because of a suspicion that he was linked to the helpers of the suspected war criminal Ratko Mladic, writes Sarajevo-X.
The search was conducted in order to collect extra information about Mladic, and NATO confirmed that members of the local police participated in the operation, but with limited support.
The assets of lieutenant colonel Jesic was searched in accordance to NATO authorization to support the Hague Tribunal in arresting people suspected for war crimes, and all was conducted in the boundaries that the NATO alliance was allowed to do.
Besides reports about the operation, NATO asked all who had some information relating to Mladic, as well as Hadzic, to contact their office in Sarajevo. Of course, if the information helped arrest the fugitive, a reward of five million dollars would be given.
