Obama’s Stepbrother George Arrested for Possession

Barack Obama is not close with his stepbrother, who did not attend his inauguration, and does not know what he is being charged with.

The stepbrother of American President Barack Obama, George, has been arrested for possession of marijuana, CNN reported. 

Augustine Mutembei, the arresting officer, says George Obama has already had encounters with the Nairobi police.

David Mckenzie, a CNN reporter, managed to get to George Obama who told him: “They took me from my home. I don’t know why they are charging me”.

George will appear in court on Monday. He is currently being held at the Huruma police station in Nairobi.

George and Barack Obama have met only a couple of times and are not close. George is one of the rare Obama’s cousins who did not attend his presidential inauguration last week.
