On an English-speaking Hannover house heir

Throned as the third in a line, coming from the known parentage, George III was the first king of his parentage being born in England

George III (George William Frederick is born on July 4th 1738 and from October 25th 1760 until his death on January 29th 1820 was the king of Great Britain and the Kingdom of Ireland. In fact, on January 1st 1801 after two Kingdoms reached a mutual union, he became an enthroned Kingdom of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.

It was the third British king from the Hannover house, but also the first one having English language for his mother tongue. In fact, he was born in England while he never visited Hannover in his lifetime. His reign was marked by warfares in different geographical areas and with different people. In the earliest days of his reign, a seven year war with France came into sight so the Great Britain became a dominant colonisator of the North America and India. He also defeated Napoleon in 1815.

He prepossessed the American teritories from the French, while losing them again during the war with Americans. Nevertheless, given the victory over the French gained him numerous American territories, he still managed to lose them during the American war for independence. Sequentially, the said war lead the Americans into the grouping policy of the future United States.

In the last part of his life, George III got mentally ill. Even though the doctors of the era were completely lost when it comes to the terminology of his disease, it was later on considered he was suffering from porphyria, a blood disease. After a relapse in 1810, he got switched by the eldest son in the role of the regent. After the death of George III, he became known as the king George IV.
