German Chancellor Angela Merkel met with Californian Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger at the promotion of Google’s mobile phone.

As the world is struggling with the financial crisis, world politicians still find time to mingle at various events. German Chancellor Angela Merkel and California Governor, a former body builder and actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger met at the opening tour of the CeBIT computer fair in Hanover.

Several days earlier, Merkel took part in the EU Summit in Brussels at which participants discussed the unity of the European Union market which is also affected by the financial crisis. But despite the fact that global markets are sinking and every euro is invaluable, Merkel presented Google’s new mobile phone, evidently designed to compete with Apple’s iPod.
