PhotoThe Gulf of Aden has become a very insecure place for all sea farers who are forced to sail near Somalia’s coast.
International and Somali forces have taken more aggressive action in defending the Gulf of Aden, the crisis region on the north coast of Somalia, which marked many robberies and kidnappings aboard tankers and other ships.
After NATO intervention, which is interesting, the pirates carried out their most profitable attack so far, by hijacking the Sirius Star, a huge Libyan tanker with large amounts of oil in its hull.
However, the battle against the pirates may have finally started to work, if we are to judge by the main photo in this article, in which pirate suspects are waiting for the authorities to arrest them and determine their real intentions.
Take a look at photographs that marked today in the photo gallery: Day in Photos: February 12, 2009.
